Prerequisites NotesStudents interested in the DCS program should already hold an honors or masters degree, to ensure sufficient academic training and some research experience. Canadian Citizens or students with Canadian Permanent Residency status will be considered for admission. In the event of a conflict, the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (SGPS) regulations will supersede the regulations of the DCS program.

DescriptionThe primary purpose of the Schulich Dental Clinician-Scientist (DCS) program is to provide an opportunity for highly qualified students to prepare for academic careers in oral health research The DCS program consists of a PhD degree in an area of research relevant to dentistry followed by a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. The program is directed towards highly motivated students whose career objective is to become productive clinician-scientists in dental research or academic dentistry. This is a joint-degree program (PhD/DDS).
