Description | The rapid emergence of Facebook, Twitter and YouTube tells us that the way we socially interact and share content online is quickly becoming one of the most important factors in the design of computer systems, mobile devices and web products. Social Computing is the study of these very systems and there is huge demand for computer science graduates with backgrounds in relevant topics such as social software design and development, and social data analysis.
The BSc (Hons) Social Computing programmes at the University of Lincoln are the first of their kind in the UK, and have been designed, from the ground-up, to respond precisely to this demand. The programmes will produce graduates with excellent prospects who can go on to work in a range of social computing roles in the ICT sector. | | |
