| Description | Supporting the emotional wellbeing of adults is increasingly important and you will qualify with the skills to become a mental health practitioner or support worker in a social care setting. There are also options to study Community and Health Management top-up to gain a BSc honours degree, or to progress onto a nursing or social work course.
You'll study on a practice-based course with work placements at its core to develop the essential skills you need to work with adults with mental health problems and learning disabilities. The course tailors to your interests and circumstances. If you're currently working and looking for career development, you can 'earn and learn' with lectures slotting in around employment. If you have no experience, the team will find you a placement in a suitable setting.
