| Description | An electrical engineering technologist is trained to understand the principles in the design and safe operation of electrical power systems including power generation and distribution, lighting, electric machines, and automated controls. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are an asset in this program especially when it comes to designing, testing, and troubleshooting equipment and systems. As a result of this training, graduates can find employment in a wide variety of sectors, and can also be given advanced standing in engineering degree programs at a number of Canadian universities.
