Description | The increasing significance of events, as socio-cultural experience, creative enterprise, and to the experience economic, is easily identifiable. There are events for everything, everyone and every occasion; from commercial product launches to festivals and charity balls, from parties to conferences and exhibitions, in the worlds of sport, the arts, culture, education, and commerce. As an industry it is vast, growing and global. Opportunities diverse in form, function and location. Little can compare with the buzz and excitement of a successful event.
BSc (Hons) Events Management aims to provide students not only with a thorough knowledge and critical understanding of events as both an economic and socio-cultural phenomenon, but to equip them with the skills and competencies required for graduate employment in the sector. The program seeks to equip graduates with the knowledge and abilities to understand the evolving business and cultural dynamics of the sector, together with the skills and competencies required for event design, production, and innovation. Hence, our graduates should be able to not only adapt to the changing needs of the sector, but to anticipate and influence the future management practices of event organizations. | | |
