Description | The MComp is a four year course which enhances and extends the equivalent BSc (Hons) course. It includes an industry-related project, some optional study modules and a substantial Masters level project.
Experience in the practical design and development of a variety of software and IT systems is provided on this course. Students will develop the range of knowledge and skills they need for employment or further study in the computing industry.
The first year provides a broad foundation in computer science, with a focus on software development and computer systems. In the second year, specialist study in topics such as artificial intelligence is introduced, together with a group project. In the final year, students will study software engineering and take further specialised modules, together with a large-scale individual project. | | |
