| Description | By studying infectious diseases in the human body, the molecular methods of diagnosing them and how they can be a major cause of death globally, you will develop your knowledge of microbial strategies used in infection. You will be able to discuss the central role of the genetic material in living systems, describe the Mendelian and non-Mendelian inheritance mechanisms and outline the distribution of genes in human populations.
