DescriptionMidwifery is an extremely rewarding career and yet there is a shortfall of qualified professionals to meet a growing demand. Our degree is designed for qualified adult nurses wanting to train as midwifes within a supportive and professional learning environment.

As a leading provider of midwifery training, our 18 month course offers a perfect mix of theory and practice. 50% of the course is practical, and carried out in our partner NHS hospitals - which include some of London's leading maternity units. Many of our graduates start their careers with their placement host. The theoretical component prepares you for every aspect of the midwife's role; you will learn the essential skills required to support families to prepare for parenthood and develop a thorough knowledge of antenatal and postnatal care. Upon graduation, you will be armed with the confidence to offer counselling, guidance and care to women at all stages of pregnancy, from the initial hospital visit through to the 28th day following birth.
