BSc Healthcare Science (Medical Engineering) prepares you to work as a medical engineer in hospitals, learning the skills to take a hands-on role with important medical equipment.
This course will provide you with the knowledge skills and practical experience to work as a professional healthcare scientist in medical engineering. The role of a medical engineer can involve: checking equipment functions correctly and is safe for use with patients; maintenance; acceptance testing of new equipment; introduction of the equipment to service; advising on correct use; addressing patient safety issues; and safely disposing of old devices. | | |
