DescriptionLearn safety practices, tree identification and an introduction to tree biology. Practical training includes tree pruning and the safe use of chippers, stump cutters, chainsaws and a range of hand tools. Apprentices are introduced to rigging, climbing and assisting climbing arborists.
The arborist technician program trains aboriculture workers for the first stage of their careers where the focus of the works is from the ground. The curriculum used for technical training has been developed and approved by the arboriculture industry.
