Prerequisites NotesApplicants to this program typically require: * A baccalaureate degree or the equivalent from an accredited institution. * A grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all undergraduate and graduate course work. * A designated major in Psychology or completion of the equivalent of twelve semester credit hours in undergraduate psychology with grades of no less than "C" or better in each course. These courses should include general or introductory psychology, abnormal psychology, theories of personality, and research methods.

DescriptionOur Emergency Management Leadership Program in Chicago is designed to equip students with the knowledge needed to help individuals and communities prepare, respond and recover from natural and man-made emergencies. As a student in this program, you will receive training in the complex social, emotional, psychological and political dynamics of disasters. You’ll also receive guidance on how to provide hands-on service to those needing immediate support. This program is offered in an online, hybrid format. Take two courses a semester and you can complete the program in two years.
