Description | Engage in the study of society and cultural life to better understand social structures, human interaction and social change. Learn sociological research methods and theories with a focus on social justice, diversity and inequality.
In the Honours Program, students will complete more courses in the subject area, take part in Honours seminars, work one-on-one with a chosen faculty member who will serve as their Honours Advisor, and complete an Honours Thesis requiring original research. The Honours program allows students to graduate with both a broad and extensive background in their field and with strong and in-depth concentration on a specialized area of interest in their field. An Honours Degree provides excellent training for careers in the student's selected field for those who are planning on entering the workforce, as well as extensive preparation for graduate study for those who are planning on applying to graduate school. | | |
