Description | This program emphasizes hands-on construction practices and computer-aided drafting and design techniques for buildings and civil infrastructure. Design, drafting, and construction methods will be taught via lecture, in-class activities, and site visits to the field. Topics covered include current building construction practices, civil infrastructure construction standards, and the use of computer-aided design and drafting software (including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Sketch Up)–ensuring that students acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies required for them to enter the industry.
