DescriptionThe Costume Cutting and Construction major allows you to immerse yourself in the upbeat and dramatic field of the performing arts where you thrive in wardrobe departments, construct costumes for men and women, and excel in pattern making and design. The Fashion Institute offers a broad range of courses which will nurture your commitment to educational excellence as you learn about the history of pattern making, textiles, the particulars of couture and specialty fabrics, plus focus on the operation of industrial sewing and pressing equipment. As part of the Costume Cutting and Constructor major you will also participate in a workplace practicum. Prepare yourself for the role of a lifetime as you work with seasoned professionals from the performing arts industry.
