DescriptionThe aims of the program are to acquaint students with a variety of perspectives on the study of film, hone analytical skills, and enhance a critical appreciation of film culture in historical and social contexts. This interdisciplinary Minor in Film Studies is an ideal complement to a major concentration in either the Humanities or the Arts.

The Faculties of Humanities and Fine Arts jointly offer a General Program in Film Studies. This program leads to the BA degree. Please see General Program in the UVic Calendar to learn more.
