Some courses (e.g., GERO 890) have undergraduate prerequisites. Students who have not completed these prerequisites or equivalent can still be admitted to the program with the understanding that they will be expected to complete these undergraduate prerequisites prior to being able to complete the corresponding gerontology program courses.

DescriptionThe Centre on Aging and Health coordinates an interdisciplinary research-oriented Master's degree in Gerontology. Students may work toward an MA or an MSc degree depending on the nature of their Master's thesis research. This program reflects the collaboration of the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies, and the Faculty of Social Work. The program aims to provide research training and specialized gerontological knowledge to health professionals. The program is also suitable for students who wish to pursue doctoral studies and research careers.
