DescriptionThe College Vocational Program is specifically for students with learning difficulties, and is designed to assist the student’s development in academic skills, as well as skills for both independent living and working. The ultimate goal is preparation for employment. Through classroom learning and work experience, the student has opportunities to gain life and vocational skills. The subjects are designed to enable the student to progress in language and mathematics, as well as to gain knowledge and skills for living and working. Supervised work training experiences are the core of the student’s program. These experiences along with individual vocational assessment and career subjects assist and support the student in planning realistically for an occupation and employment.
