The program deals with the multiple challenges related to food and nutrition that individuals and societies face today, such as malnutrition here and around the world; the increased incidence of obesity, diabetes and high blood pressure; aging populations; the risk of food contamination; and the complex nature of food services management. This dietetic education program is an accredited program recognized by the Partnership for Dietetic Education and Practice (PDEP) and prepare students for eligibility for registration with a provincial dietetic regulatory body.
