DescriptionThis Computer Numerical Control Machining Program is designed to provide an opportunity for the individual with background in metal machining to gain a working knowledge of CNC machines.

The theory involved includes an understanding of the principles of numerical control, their application to metal cutting machine tools and writing CNC programs.

The practical portion of the program provides the student with a working knowledge of CNC machine tool consoles, how to safely activate their various modes of operation, and the establishment of safe working practices in the operation of CNC turning and machining centres, while producing parts from existing files.
