Description | John Abbott College’s Women’s Studies and Gender Relations Certificate provides a comprehensive study of gender issues and women’s experiences placed within psychological, social, cultural and historical contexts. While most students take the Certificate to broaden their learning experience, for those interested in continuing their studies, Women’s Studies and Gender Relations programs are now offered in most North American universities, including Concordia, McGill and the University of Québec in Montréal.
The Women’s Studies and Gender Relations Certificate encourages male and female students to develop strategies for personal growth and social change.
All Women’s Studies and Gender Relations students participate in planning special events such as the activities celebrating Black History Month, International Women’s Week and Earth Day. Social events offer students the opportunity to meet faculty members and other students enrolled in the certificate. | | |
