DescriptionToday's sheet metal industry requires a variety of skills - such as knowledge of construction documentation, communication skills, layout, fabrication and installation of ductwork. This program will train you in many aspects of sheet metal work and will be delivered through a series of classroom, lab work and a five-week industry work-term. This program meets one of the growing demands of the Construction sector. The skills you will learn are relevant to the needs of industry now and in the future.

Sheet Metal Worker is a designated trade under the Apprenticeship and Trades Qualification Act . This program is a first step on the path towards Journeyperson Certification in the trade. Graduates of this program will be expected to register in the Sheet Metal Worker trade and will be eligible for transferable Apprenticeship hours towards Journeyperson certification. You will be required to maintain a Work Record Book as part of this program of study.
