DescriptionThe Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Structures) program offers excellent hands-on learning, and in conjunction with the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) program, uses actual aircraft to develop skills for the repair and maintenance of airframes and associated systems for fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft.

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Structures) program provides learners with the opportunity to acquire skills in the area of aircraft metal and composite assembly and repair. These skills are essential in the maintenance, repair, overhaul, inspection, and testing of aircraft structural systems. The student will be trained in the use and maintenance of hand tools as well as sophisticated and specialized tools and equipment. The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Structures) graduate will have demonstrated the ability to assess damage and corrosion of aircraft structures, and to repair, replace and modify sheet metal, fabric surfaces, and composite and wood structures.
