DescriptionPart I: Medical Terminology (8 weeks): This program is designed for students who have no medical background or for those who are in the health care profession and would like to improve their knowledge in medical terminology. This knowledge is a vital part of the communication process in health care and will further improve delivery of care to residents in acute or community settings. The unique approach and combination of word building principles combined with the knowledge of Basic Anatomy and Physiology will be taught by qualified Registered Nurses who have extensive experience and knowledge on the field.

Part II: Resident Care Aid (24 months): This program is the most reputable and popular program in the school of Health Care. Our dedicated and experienced instructors will provide the best education with hands-on training to prepare students for the real world. Students will practice their techniques in labs equipped with articulated mannequins, hospital beds, medical gear and fixtures. Furthermore, students will participate at a designated facility or a hospital and interact with patients through out the practicum training period. This training will help students learn proficiency and the confidence most needed on a job. Our graduates work in both private and publicly funded facilities and hospitals as well as a variety of community settings. These may include extended care, intermediate care, assisted living, acute care hospitals, home support, rehabilitation facilities, and group homes. RCAs work as part of a team within a health care unit under the supervision of a health care professional such as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Student loans are available for qualified local students.
