The Spanish Language and Hispanic Cultures program will give you an excellent grounding in the Spanish language and in-depth understanding of the diversity and richness of the Hispanic World and the connections in time and space that unite us. You will explore our literature, visual arts, music, and traditions and how this rich culture has impacted our global world. You will also explore different methodologies, from traditional analysis to digital humanities. This program will prepare you for graduate studies and research in Hispanic Studies, or for a career in which an ability to analyze and organize and an understanding of culture and diversity are important.

The School of Advanced Studies in the Arts and Humanities is the flagship Program of Western’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Unique in Canada, the SASAH Program offers an interdisciplinary, cross-cultural, and community-engaged educational experience.
