Description | The Pre-Chiropractic program is the first three years of a Bachelor of Science program, tailored to meet the admission requirements of the professional school(s). Students can take one year of studies at Keyano College then transfer to a university to complete the remaining pre-professional program requirements while completing a B.Sc. degree. The only Canadian School that offers a chiropractic program is the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.
Students are not guaranteed admission to the Chiropractic College as it is a competitive program. Students are encouraged to fulfill all the Pre-Professional Chiropractic program requirements, but also design their program so that a Bachelor of Science Degree can be completed. Pre-professional programs are designed to meet the admission requirements of professional schools, such as medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, etc. These programs are very competitive, so students should plan their program, allowing them the option of completing an undergraduate degree if admission into the professional program is denied or delayed. Transfer depends on proper course selection, credit hours completed, grade point average (GPA), and other requirements. The minimum stated GPA is often not enough because of the competition to enter a program. | | |
