DescriptionProgram focuses on the social/cultural anthropology of contemporary societies; flexibility is emphasized. The small size of the program makes it ideally suited to students who are independent thinkers and who value flexibility, yet who also seek individual attention and supervision. The program concentrates on areas of change and complexity in social and cultural life at levels ranging from local to global.

Fieldwork focuses on political, social and cultural locations in interconnected worlds as well as in particular regions. This program prepares students for careers as professional anthropologists and for diverse occupations with national and international agencies and other professions.
