DescriptionBiblical and Theological Studies invites students to disciplined, thoughtful reflection on the Bible, on the theological traditions and history of the church, and on the experiences and practices of Christian communities around the world. Through this program, you will develop skills to apply biblical and theological wisdom to contemporary personal and social issues. You will also discover ways in which you can be transformed as you reflect on how Christian faith and practice can be of service to God and the world.

CMU seeks to foster dialogue between this field of inquiry and other academic disciplines, between the Anabaptist/Mennonite tradition and the diversity of Christian traditions, and between Christian thought and the variety of worldviews. Biblical and Theological Studies will prepare you to live as a Christian in the world—whatever career you choose—and for various ministries within the Church, or with church-related organizations.
