DescriptionAs a Medical Transcriptionist, you will be a highly skilled medical language specialist and an integral member of the health care documentation team. Health Care Facilities at every level of the health care system will depend on you to transcribe dictations accurately within a specified timeframe while respecting the confidentiality and security of the contents. Dictated files may include patient assessments, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, clinical treatments and episodes of care, diagnoses and prognoses, and more.

If you enjoy technical work (keyboarding and computers) and you are interested in medical care, this program will appeal to you. Many transcriptionists work from their own homes to provide their services remotely, via secure Internet, to medical organizations across Canada and the United States.
