| Description | The College of Dentistry offers a fully accredited dental program with a proud tradition of excellence in teaching and research. The college was established in 1965 and graduates approximately 28 qualified dentists each year. Approximately 21 full-time and 60 part-time dedicated faculty ensures an excellent student to faculty ratio. In addition to its teaching and service functions, the college has a strong commitment to research. Recent projects include an oral health training program in collaboration with the Mozambique Ministry of Health, a CIDA dental/health-care project, a periodontal health project with Mexico, involvement in a major study of multiple sclerosis, a bacterial adhesion to oral surface project, and ongoing studies in dental materials. | | |
