Prerequisites Notes | In order to be eligible to enroll in the CTESL, candidates must either have completed an undergraduate degree or be currently enrolled in a BEd program.
Candidates whose first language is not English must also demonstrate a high level of English language proficiency as evidenced by:
A score of 600 or better on the TOEFL
And a score of 55 or better on the TSE (Test of Spoken English)
And a score of 5.5 or better on the TWE (Test of Written English)

Description | The program is designed for three groups: English speakers who have completed an undergraduate degree and are seeking employment in TESL; International students who have completed an undergraduate degree, have an acceptable standard of English, and wish to receive TESL certification in an English-speaking environment; and Native English speakers who want to obtain a TESL certificate while pursuing an undergraduate degree. | | |
