Prerequisites NotesGraduate of a two-year Early Childhood Education diploma program OR holder of a current Early Childhood Education 2 (ECEII) classification from the Manitoba Child Care program PLUS One year Early Learning Centre experience Applicants are required to submit a letter verifying experience. Individuals who do not meet the entrance criteria will be assessed on an individual basis. A Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check are required prior to the start of practicum.

DescriptionMaster the skills that encompass the director's roles and responsibilities as the leader, manager and administrator of an early childhood setting. Our advanced certificate program is designed to help early childhood educators advance to leadership positions within the early learning and child care field. Early Childhood Program Management gives you the skills that you need to take on the role and responsibility of a director. It is essential to be able to lead, manage and administer early learning and child care centres when you're looking to advance in your field.

Students should have strong computer skills, communication and organizational leadership skills. You can study at your own pace and continue to work while taking this program by distance education.
