DescriptionThe Certificate program is designed to accommodate those who wish to take only the 5 adult education courses, and who may have no need or desire to pursue the B. Ed. degree. The certificate is awarded upon successful completion of 5 education credits with a minimum overall average of 60 percent. For the awarding of a certificate, you must submit an application for graduation. Certificates are presented at convocation.

Candidates who have obtained the Certificate in Adult Education may later apply for the B. Ed. in Adult Education. Students may not be concurrently registered in a certificate and a degree program. All credits earned in the certificate program will be transferable to the degree program. The requirements for the degree, after having received the Certificate in Adult Education, are an additional 10 undergraduate degree credits. Candidates are advised to plan their program carefully in order to fulfill all the necessary degree or certificate requirements.
