Description | The Department of Geography and Environmental Management (GEM) at University of Waterloo has a strong commitment to the discovery, application and dissemination of geographic knowledge focused on our home planet. Our environment goes beyond the natural world; it’s where we live, work and who we are. Understanding complexity requires excellence in research, teaching and an interdisciplinary approach which is as diverse as our students. Our graduate and undergraduate programs offer the theoretical and practical experience that students need to tackle the toughest environmental challenges and to help shape our sustainable future. | | |
