DescriptionThe Collaborative Specialization in Biostatistics is part of the MSc in Mathematics and Statistics and has two completion options: Thesis or Coursework-only. This specialization is an interdisciplinary area of research linking statistics, biology, medicine and health sciences. The specialization is intended to prepare a student for a career as a biostatistician in a health-related industry, or for a doctoral program in biostatistics.

It is administered by a committee of representatives from the primary units, which include the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Carleton University, the School of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Ottawa and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Ottawa.
