| Description | This program prepares graduates to assume diverse responsibilities within educational settings. These responsibilities may include assisting children with special needs by adapting or modifying educational materials and programs. In addition, teacher assistants participate in observing and reporting a child’s progress to teachers and other related professionals. Teacher assistants also reinforce learning in one-on-one or small group situations, act as facilitators for the inclusion of children with special needs; and prepare instructional materials for teachers.
