Description | Humber’s Media Foundation certificate program helps you develop a strong foundation in digital media, communications, writing, design and academic skills, preparing you for potential entry into more advanced media programs in Humber’s School of Media Studies & Information Technology. You’ll receive a thorough introduction to a wide variety of subjects with courses that include media communications, video and audio production, film studies, photography, and web and digital design. You’ll also get a real sense of what it’s like to work in these different areas. Ultimately, our program will introduce you to a variety of roles in media so you can make an informed decision about how to pursue your career.
The program is designed with input from our industry partners, ensuring courses are current and relevant. You will learn up-to-date technical skills using software on Mac and PC platforms, developing websites (HTML and script-based languages), working with images (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and telling visual stories (Premiere Pro, Audition). Your instructors have strong industry connections and will give you insider tips on the latest trends and how to succeed in this rapidly changing industry. | | |
