Description | Are you a team player with good hand-eye coordination? Do you place job safety top of mind? Are you comfortable with heights? These are a few of the talents you will need to succeed in this line of work. The generation, transmission and distribution of electricity and communications require skills in the mechanical systems, advanced electrical/electronic systems and computer controls among others. Safety and environmental awareness are included in this course along with training in electrical technology, communications and computer utilization.
This program is the first step on the path towards Journeyperson Certification in the Powerline Technician trade. Graduates of this program will be eligible for transfer credit upon registration in the Provincial Apprenticeship Program. | | |
