DescriptionThis program is an ideal way for graduates of a first-level electrical program to get hands-on experience and knowledge of electrical motors and controls, transformers, solid-state systems and automation technology. A special focus is on troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.

This program is a first step on the path towards the construction electrician and industrial electrician trades. Certification is compulsory through the Department of Labour and Workforce Development. Graduates of this program will be eligible for transfer credit upon registration in the Provincial Apprenticeship Program. Graduates may find employment in electrical construction, production plant operation and maintenance, public utilities, and electrical supply.
