DescriptionIf your goal is degree-level studies at Humber or at a university, Humber’s General Arts and Science – University Transfer certificate program is designed for you. In your first semester, you will take courses focused on critical thinking and writing skills, social sciences, literature, and math. You will have an opportunity to use online learning too, as some of our courses blend classroom and online experience. Based on your success in first semester, your second semester courses will allow you to explore a variety of different fields in the humanities and social sciences – and you will earn transfer credits along the way.

Our program will help you improve your academic standing and open the doors to diploma and degree programs at Humber or other institutions, such as the University of Guelph-Humber, York University, Lakehead University or Bishop’s University. If your sights are set on the University of Toronto, check out our General Arts and Science – University Transfer diploma program. You decide. And we’ll support you along the way, offering academic advice and individual attention complemented by small class sizes and engaged, up-to-date professors. This program provides the perfect environment for you to learn about your choices and possibilities as you move into higher postsecondary studies. You may choose to apply to a degree program after second semester* or open more doors for yourself and earn even more transfer credits by continuing to the second year of the program. Refer to the General Arts and Science – University Transfer diploma program.
