Prerequisites Notes | To be admitted to the Master Computer Science (MCSc) program all students must have completed a four-year undergraduate program in Computer Science with high standing. Their Computer Science background must be at least equivalent to that covered by the core courses in the Dalhousie Bachelor of Computer Science program. Students who do not meet these requirements may be admitted with a requirement to complete specific undergraduate courses in addition to their graduate program requirements to make up for deficiencies in their background. | | |

Description | The Faculty of Computer Science offers both Master’s and Doctoral degree programs. The Master’s program is available either with a traditional research-oriented thesis option, or with a project option and more courses designed for students interested in an advanced professional degree. Research in the Faculty has an interdisciplinary approach. There are approximately 30 full-time professors in the Faculty, and approximately 200 students registered in the Master’s and Doctoral programs.
