| Prerequisites Notes | Students must hold a CEGEP diploma (DCS or equivalent) or be 21 years of age and over who do not have the normal academic background for admission may be admitted as mature students. Students between 18 and 21 who do not have a CEGEP diploma but have at least a high school leaving certificate may be accepted into a qualifying program to be determined by the Department. Formal admission to the certificate program will normally follow upon satisfactory completion of the qualifying program.

| Description | The Certificate in Systems Analysis and Design provides a solid foundation in the concepts and techniques required for effective planning and design of software applications and systems. Emphasis is placed on practical application of techniques towards the development of business applications, computer concepts and principles as applied to business applications, planning and design of software applications and systems. Completing the program enables a pursuit of careers such as management information system analyst, computer services representative, information system designer, information technology business analyst and information support specialist in various organizations.
