Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA (scale is 4.00 = "A") in the last 60 hours of a student's first bachelor's degree program, or applicants must have a minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA (scale is 4.00 = "A") in an applicable master's degree program.

All applicants must submit:

  • Graduate admission application and application fee.
  • Personal statement.
  • Two letters of recommendation.
  • Proof of English proficiency.

An applicant whose native language is not English (regardless of current residency) must provide proof of English proficiency.

The personal statement must not exceed 1,500 words. It should discuss a food policy issue that is important to you and describe why you believe engaging in policy is important to solve this issue.

Letters of recommendation must be from educators, or professionals in the field of food policy.

DescriptionThe food policy and sustainability leadership graduate certificate will equip you with an in-depth knowledge of current food policy and a panoramic view of the policymaking process. You'll be prepared to shape policy and advance sustainable food systems.
