DescriptionThe Jewish Studies option is addressed to students enrolled in the Kindergarten and Elementary program who wish to teach Jewish studies as well as general studies. Students are encouraged to acquire a strong background in Bible, Jewish prayer, Jewish holidays, and Jewish history prior to registering in the option. Students lacking the ability to teach in Hebrew should consider spending a semester at an Israeli university or seek other avenues to improve their language skills. The program consists of academic and professional courses, as well as studies in pedagogy and educational foundations. Each year of the program provides a school-based practicum.
