i) Hold a degree that is academically equivalent to a UBC 4-year Bachelor’s degree,

ii) Have completed at least four years of study with a B+ average (76% at UBC) in third and fourth year-level coursework, or at least 12 credits of third- or fourth-year courses in the A- grade range (at UBC 80% or higher), in subjects related to the intended field of graduate study,

iii) Have sufficient preparatory academic background to carry out graduate work in the chosen field.

DescriptionThe graduate program in Cell and Developmental Biology offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees to students undertaking advanced study and research in cell and developmental biology. The program is flexible and is designed to accommodate the diverse backgrounds of students and the broad nature of research in cell and developmental biology. The program's courses provide a thorough understanding of the scientific fundamentals and methodologies of contemporary cell and developmental biology. All students also undertake original and significant research from the start of their studies. With nearly 50 faculty members engaged in cutting-edge research in cell and developmental biology, a wide range of research topics is available to students.
