Requirements for Canadian Students

Students can request application forms and information about specific programs by contacting the Registrar's Office at (780) 539-2944. For some programs, specific items may be required, such as testing, a pre-interview, portfolio materials, and/or career search information. If a student has completed high school or some high school courses, an "official" transcript copy is required prior to official acceptance. For English as a Second Language, please call (780) 539-2945 More information on admissions : https://www.gprc.ab.ca/programs/admission.html

Requirements for International Students

There are neither academic or English proficiency requirements for admission to the International Education Centre's English program. Students will be given a written placement test before the start of the program to ensure they will be placed in the appropriate level. International students wishing to enter credit programs need a TOEFL of 550 or completion of the Level 7 in the English Language Program to meet the language proficiency requirement.

Procedure for Canadian Students

Admission is generally on a "first come, first served" basis provided that all admissions requirements have been met. This means that applicants are admitted in order of the dates they have applied and if they have submitted all of the required documentation showing completion of prerequisites and any other requirements established by the program of their choice. Some programs require pre-admission interviews and some are based on selective admissions.
