Requirements for Canadian Students

To be qualified to attend any program at Executive Hotel Management College, an applicant must fully complete the application process, which consists of:

  • Submitting a high school diploma, or G.E.D or be at least 19 years of age, as a mature student with qualifications equivalent to high school education.
  • Complete the EHMC Self-Introduction and Statement of Intent.
  • Complete a Formal Interview by an EHMC Admissions Officer.
  • Hold legal status to study in Canada (being a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, or holding a valid study permit).
  • Applicants who have English as a second language must submit proof of English proficiency. This would include TOEFL score 500 and above or equivalent (i.e.: TOEFL CBT 173, TOEFL ICT 61, IELTS 6, TOEIC 600, or CAEL 50), or successfully pass (70% or higher) the EHMC English proficiency evaluation exam.
  • Submit all the required documents including: copy of student visa or Canadian government issued id, proof of medical coverage, 2 reference letters and all applicable transcripts.
  • Submit all required application and program fees

Procedure for Canadian Students

An applicant interested in Executive Hotel Management College, should contact the school and set up a meeting via phone or in person enabling the college to provide the applicant with further information concerning EHMC and the programs offered.

Once an applicant is serious about applying for a program at EHMC, the applicant should pay the application fee. Executive Hotel Management College charges a non-refundable application fee of CND$200 for domestic students and CND$300 for international students. EHMC is to collect the application fee before beginning to process any new applicant. Fees can be paid by: certified cheque, wire transfer, credit card or cash.

Once application fees are submitted, the applicant must complete the Self Introduction and Letter of Intent. The Self Introduction and Letter of Intent is provided to the applicant by an EHMC Admissions Officer, and is to be completed within 48 hours or within the pre-arranged time frame. Applicants can submit these documents through email, fax or in person.

Applicants will then need to submit the following documents: all previous educational transcripts (high school and any other college/university transcripts), 2 reference letters (from a formal instructor, coach, supervisor, mentor, etc...), copy of student visa or proof of citizenship, proof of medical insurance and an updated resume.
