This degree has been designed specifically for teaching assistants and those undertaking a support role within educational settings, and has a strong emphasis on employability, allowing you to put your learning into practice. It builds on your existing professional skills and competencies, giving you an in-depth understanding of educational provision for children aged 3-11 years within primary settings as well as children with special educational needs. After graduating, you may choose to apply for an Initial Teacher Training course or move into another career working with young people.
This work-based course offers opportunities to study through blended learning in which 60% is online and 40% on campus, attending Saturday study days (6 per academic year). |

To apply for a place on an undergraduate course (BA/BSc) you need to have completed your high school education (12 years) and have a pass equivalent to two UK A level passes, and have the required English language qualification.
UK Requirements: Related Foundation Degree/HND. An Enhanced DBS check is required.
Canadian Requirements: High School Graduation Diploma (5 subjects at pass)
