Description:

International Development Studies is home to engaged advocates on the international stage. In this program, you’ll examine global perspectives on how we live our lives, make a difference in our communities and identify with our peers. International Development Studies explores global issues such as inequality, poverty, sustainability and social change. You’ll examine how history, politics, economics and culture shape development in different regions of the world. The program lets you explore topics like culture, diasporas and migration, governance, gender and the environment. Through critical thinking and real-world learning opportunities, you’ll develop the skills to analyze global challenges and support meaningful change. Through our partnership with the Lassonde School of Engineering, engineers can choose a dual Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Arts degree – the only dual degree program of its kind in Canada.
