Description:

Sociology examines the social, cultural, and historical factors that impact human action and self-understanding. It provides a perspective that can help you in careers ranging from educator to social worker. Our interpretive focus on societal currents, in light of religious and philosophical perspectives, makes for a broad, cross-disciplinary understanding of the society we live in. As a sociology major, you'll follow your interests from various topical courses into a senior capstone project. Sociology and Social Thought is offered as a major. Sociology is offered as a minor.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    We require official grades from all institutions in which you have enrolled or are currently enrolled. This includes both high school and college. If a transcript includes grades from past institutions, those institutions do not need to send a separate transcript.
