Description:

The Psychology Department offers graduate work leading to M.A. and Ph.D. degrees through its Experimental and Clinical Programs. Graduate students may specialize in one of the following research areas: Cognitive & Biological, Developmental, Law & Forensic Psychology, Social & Personality or Theory & Methods. The graduate programs are oriented toward the Ph.D. degree, although students must first obtain a Masters degree as part of their requirements. Students seeking only a Masters degree are discouraged from applying.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Typically students admitted to our graduate programs have a Psychology Honours degree or a Psychology Major with strong research experience. University regulations require a minimum undergraduate CGPA of 3.0 for consideration for admission to any graduate program at SFU. Students with CGPAs under 3.25 are unlikely to be accepted to the graduate programs in Psychology.
